Dear 3 moms ! Thank your for your informative and thought podcast. I particularly enjoyed learning about Brian Stettin’s efforts in NYC. A librarian at the New York Public Library, I work with SMI patrons in the daily basis. I have invited Brian and another policy expert, Stephen Eide to discuss the issue of “ involuntary” commitment in New York. I find it incredibly hard to convince management and my coworkers to even discuss this issue. Multiple people accused me of “marginalizing” homeless and “ disrespecting “ SMI sufferers. Few understand the difference between mental health and SMI. I have suggested the library buys your books. I am a chocked we don't have them . If possible , please spread the news about this upcoming program. Thank you for everything you go on behalf of schizophrenia sufferers. Marianna Vertsman
